The video game community has been swept by the return of World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic. This re-release of the high-profile MMORPG’s vanilla version has seen a massive rise of renewed interest in WoW. Unfortunately, this enormous amount of attention has led to the majority of the World of Warcraft Classic realms being filled to the brim and causing extremely long queue times for players trying to jump in. However, Blizzard Entertainment recently revealed they would soon be providing character transfer for free to help spread out the game’s population on more WoW realms. If you are interested in learning about how to transfer your character from one realm to another in World of Warcraft Classic, you’ll want to read up on everything you need to know about the highly anticipated feature below.
World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic Character Transfer
World of Warcraft Classic players will see an option to begin a transfer to a new realm on either the character select screen or the realm queue screen when the new WoW feature goes live for the more populated realms of the popular title.
Players will not be able to move their figure from one realm to a new one if their character is a guild leader, has active auction listings or bids, or has mail. Blizzard stated it would provide more details regarding which World of Warcraft Classic realms will be available and restrictions when the WoW character transfer service officially goes live.
Blizzard did not provide an exact date for when the World of Warcraft Classic free transfer service will begin. The developer did state it would be arriving in the “coming days.”
We will continue to update this article with any new information regarding the World of Warcraft Classic character transfer service when it is made available by Blizzard. Are you happy to see this new service come to WoW? Do you think it will fix the long queue times players have been suffering through due to the overpopulated realms?
