Will Forza Motorsport Be On Xbox One? – Answered

Get ready to race.

The newest era of Motorsport is almost upon us, with Forza leaving its wild side on the Horizon in exchange for the realistic simulator that we’ve known and loved since the original Xbox. The Forza Motorsport series is one of the more realistic racing simulators on the market and comes paired with some of the best racing physics on the market and some of the best visuals in the racing genre. With all of the gameplay shown off before the launch of this newest entry, is there any feasible way it can run on the Xbox One, or has this console family been left behind to achieve a podium finish?

Can You Play Forza Motorsport (2023) On Xbox One?

If you’re eager to hop into the driver’s seat of your dream car but only have an Xbox One, you will need to consider upgrading your console to the current generation hardware. While Forza Motorsport can be played on either Xbox Series X|S or PC, it will not be available to purchase or play on any version of the Xbox One hardware that is on the market.

There are a variety of reasons for this, but the graphical fidelity of the newest installment should be enough of a showcase to see why this particular entry in the franchise wouldn’t work on the aging Xbox One, with the inclusion of Ray Tracing, 60 FPS in 4K, and so many new technologies that can only work on the most current generation of hardware. Alongside the generational leap in visuals, tweaked physics, damage models, and more have been added to the game to make it look more stunning than any other racer.

With Gran Turismo 7 launching on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, fans may wonder why Forza Motorsport isn’t going this route. The developers at Turn 10 are looking to not only deliver the most visually appealing game in the franchise but also hope to ensure that the newest generation of consoles runs at a silky smooth 60 FPS with no compromises. GT7 did suffer a bit from cross-generation development. While the PS5 version of the game looked stellar, it could not fully utilize the new console to include more than 16-person races since Polyphony Digital was hoping to keep both games on the same wavelength, feature-wise.

Whether you need to beef up your PC a little before the release of this new racing simulation game, or get your hands on a current-generation console, Forza Motorsport is shaping up to be a racing game for the ages.
