Will Dead Island 2 Have DLC?

Dead Island 2 will have DLC. In fact, if you’ve purchased the Gold Edition of the game, you’ve already got the Expansion Pass. This will grant you access to whatever expansion the team at Dambuster Studios puts out for the game. However, the only way to currently get the Expansion Pass is through the Gold Edition of the game.

The Gold edition comes with the following DLC

  • Pre-order Bonus Memories of Banoi Pack
  • Pulp Weapons Pack
  • Golden Weapons Pack
  • Character Pack 1 and 2
  • Expansion Pass

We imagine that when the expansion is announced and given a date, players will be able to purchase the pass separately or upgrade to the Gold Edition; however, nothing has been officially announced on that front yet.

Dead Island 2 also has a few character customization packs that are already out if you have the game’s special editions. So we will have to wait to learn more about the future of Dead Island 2, but we know at least one expansion is planned for the game.

So yes, Dead Island 2 will have DLC. We just don’t know when yet.
