The Google Stadia when first announced made a huge splash in the gaming community for its potential, including its mobility. For those gamers on the go, the cloud-based streaming being available on mobile is a huge plush, especially for those that dove right in with the Founder’s Edition launching this November. For those looking to get in on the Google Stadia action at launch, here’s what you need to know about which mobile devices work with Google Stadia.
Here’s Which Mobile Devices Work With Google Stadia At Launch
Though the number of devices is going to be growing following launch, day one will be a little sparse. For those looking to play on Android, the Pixel 3 and 3a devices will be available, though game purchases and account changes can be made on any M+ or iOS11+ device as long as the app is available.
According to Google, “At launch, we will be supporting Pixel 3 and 3a devices (3a, 3a XL, 3, 3XL) phones for mobile gameplay, more devices will be made available in the future. However purchasing games and managing your content can be done from any iOS 11+ or Android M+ device that can run the Stadia app.”
As for Chromecast devices, the Founder’s Edition will be compatible with Chromecast Ultra with the Stadia controller being mandatory for this particular mode of play.
Though that may seem limited now, Google has assured interested gamers that this list will grow as support increases, so go ahead and bookmark this page as we will update it as more devices are added.
