Perhaps the biggest choices in any open-world game revolve around picking the best horse, after all, if you’re going to be traveling around with them a lot, you need the best of the best. So, it’s no surprise that some players are wondering which horse to choose in Ghost of Tsushima, as when you first start out, you’re tasked with picking between three different horses. Which one should you choose? Let’s take a look.
Which Is the Best Horse in Ghost of Tsushima?
When players boot up Ghost of Tsushima, they’ll be tasked with choosing between three different horses named Nobu, Sora, and Kage. If you’re familiar with games of this genre, you’ll know that a lot of times, each horse has a different set of stats with some being faster, some more agile, etc. However, this is not the case in Ghost of Tsushima, as all three horses have the same stats. So, there isn’t a best horse to choose as it’s merely a decision based on personal preference.
As you can see, each horse looks a bit different, as they are white, black, and spotted. So, if you have a preference between the three, simply choose which one you like best and don’t worry about the rest. Honestly, it’s kind of nice to not have to worry about choosing a certain set of stats over another when you’re first starting out because you don’t quite know what you will need yet.
Now that you’ve decided on which horse to choose in Ghost of Tsushima, your trusty steed will be responsible for helping you get around the island and liberating it from the Mongol forces. There are three main locations on the map that you can travel to, each of which represents a different act in the main campaign. As you complete the story mission, your horse will be responsible for getting you to and from different locations and will also take you around to different areas as you complete side quests, find collectibles, and earn trophies.

With over 40 hours of gameplay in the main campaign, being able to ride around on a horse is definitely going to save you a lot of time. It might be a bit annoying to some that all horse stats are the same in Ghost of Tsushima, but since there isn’t an online component to the game, it shouldn’t really matter all that much. So, pick a horse you like and get ready to be fully immersed in the world that the team at Sucker Punch has created!
