You’ll have to take a few crucial steps before unlocking Redstone in the Overworld. First, you’ll have to progress far enough into the campaign to unlock the “Gather Iron” improvement. In short, you’ll have to save some villages and defeat Piglin outposts before visiting the Well of Fate. Upon going to the Well of Fate and making the iron improvement, your other resource ones will appear, including the Redstone one. You can also use a similar strategy to unlock and find coal in Minecraft Legends.

From here, you’ll have to save up 100 stone and prismarine to build the Redstone improvement. You can get some stone by venturing into the wild and gathering it, while prismarine is a reward you’ll obtain from defeating Piglin bases. After collecting enough supplies, head back to the Well of Fate and build your Redstone improvement near one of the hubs!

Now that you’ve built the Gather Redstone improvement, it’s time to get some! An easy way to get some Redstone quickly is by travelling to a village that produces some. Over time, they generate Redstone and other resources you can collect by interacting with their reward chests.

However, searching in the Overworld is the main way you’ll find Redstone. By exploring swamps and jungles, you’ll spot large Redstone veins, shown by stones with bright red patches. Use your newly-obtained Redstone Allay to place a chest down, allowing your Allays to gather the resource for you! What is Redstone Used For?

There are two incredibly important uses for Redstone in Minecraft Legends. The first is to spawn zombies into your army, providing you with a tanky frontline unit to help your backline stay alive! For each zombie you want to recruit, you’ll need two Redstone and lapis, so be sure to stock up if you plan on unleashing hordes of them!

Another important use is for various advanced structures, particularly the Redstone Launcher. This powerful tower launches explosives toward your foes, allowing you to remove buildings and groups of enemies quickly. You also need Redstone to build a battle drum, a support structure that buffs your arrow towers, launchers and traps.

In short, if you want some new favorite weapons in the game, grab some Redstone ASAP.
