Where to Find Poltchageist in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask

Here's a little teacup, full of spite.

Poltchageist is a new convergent Pokémon species in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask. This matcha tea ghost Pokémon is quite elusive in Kitakami, so even once you track down its habitat, it might take a bit of work to draw it out of hiding. Here’s where to find Poltchageist in The Teal Mask.

Poltchageist can be found in the bamboo groves in Reveler’s Road. The bamboo trees surround the path leading towards Kitakami Hall.

Still, Poltchageist is very rare here. It is also very small, so it can be hard to make out sometimes. To make it easier to find, it’s recommended to make a Ghost-type Encounter Power Sandwich.

How to Make Ghost-type Encounter Power Sandwiches to Find Poltchageist in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

There are a few options for store-obtained sandwich recipes that make various levels of Encounter Power: Ghost Meal Powers. For an easy Level 1 Encounter Power: Ghost, the Classic Bocadillo doesn’t cost many ingredients and also gives Catching Power: Grass Level 1, which also applies to Poltchageist.

  • Prosciutto x1
  • Cheese x 1
  • Potato Tortilla x1
  • Olive Oil x1

If possible, however, a Level 2 Encounter Power: Ghost is highly recommended. This will really get Poltchageist to spawn in greater numbers. Both the Ultra Vegetable Sandwich and the Great Hefty Sandwich give Encounter Power: Ghost Level 2

The Ultra Vegetable Sandwich ingredients are:

  • Green Bell Pepper x1
  • Cherry Tomatoes x1
  • Cucumber x1
  • Red Onion x1
  • Watercress x1
  • Salt x1
  • Olive Oil x1
  • Vinegar x1

The Great Hefty Sandwich Ingredients are:

  • Potato Tortilla x1
  • Fried Fillet x1
  • Prosciutto x1
  • Potato Salad x1
  • Herbed Sausage x1
  • Salt x1
  • Peanut Butter x1

If the idea of balancing so many ingredients without them falling out and ruining the sandwich effects is worrying, remember that you can just drop the top sandwich bun off the sandwich entirely and still get the right effects. All that matters is that all the ingredients are on the bottom bun.
