Where to Find Ashwinder Eggs in Hogwarts Legacy

Watch out for Poachers while you search.

Ingredients are scattered all over the place in Hogwarts Legacy and some can be much tougher to find than others. Ashwinder Eggs, in particular, are difficult to locate if you do not know where to look and they do not appear nearly as often as something like Lacewing Flies.

Despite their bright orange glow, they are fairly well hidden. Ashwinder Eggs will only spawn in certain areas of the map, and you also cannot grow them as they are not plants. Our Hogwarts Legacy guide will outline where you can find Ashwinder Eggs so that you can start churning out Edurus Potions.

Hogwarts Legacy – Where to Find Ashwinder Eggs

The best way to find Ashwinder Eggs in the wild is to look around areas where there are plenty of rocks. That means rocky mountainsides or small dens outside of caves. Two locations that are guaranteed to have at least one egg spawn are the Quidditch Pitch on the rocky side and the Puffskein Den just south of Hogsmeade. After you harvest in these areas, the eggs will eventually respawn.

Of course, those are just two easy areas to keep checking. Anywhere you see on the map that has plenty of rock walls will likely have some Ashwinder Eggs that you can take and use for your Edurus Potions. However, you will likely run out fairly fast because you cannot grow these yourself.

In that case, heading over to J. Pippins Potions shop in Hogsmeade is another great way to supplement some more eggs in Hogwarts Legacy. Each one will cost 150 Galleons, or you can buy the Edurus Potion for a few hundred more. Of course, finding Ashwinder Eggs yourself is always the cheapest method.
