How to Acquire Fish Oil in Warframe

Fish Oil is acquired when cutting any fish in the Plains of Eidolon, which is done by speaking to Hai-Luk in Cetus. Simply go out into the Plains, fish up as many fish as you can, then come back and cut them for various amounts of Fish Oil based on the fish and its quality. Each fish, along with how much Fish Oil you can get for cutting them, can be found below:

Fish NameSmall RewardMedium RewardLarge Reward
Charc Eel123
Goopolla123
Tralok123
Yogwun123

Cuthol234
Sharrac234
Khut-Khut345
Norg356
Glappid357
Karkina468
Mortus Lungfish468
Murkray789

With this, it’s technically the most efficient to farm Murkray if you want the most Fish Oil in the shortest amount of time. However, you’ll need to get some Bait from Fisher Hai-Luk and use it if you want to see Murkray in a reasonable amount of time. If you’re strapped for Standing, you might be better off grabbing whatever you can find. You should get enough Fish Oil with some time and effort.

What is Fish Oil Used For?

It’s used in surprisingly few blueprints for how common Fish Oil is. However, you’ll need to get a lot of Fish Oil for each one. The amounts needed are as follows:

  • Anspatha Brace – 35 Fish Oil
  • Archwing Launcher – 30 Fish Oil
  • Clapkra Brace – 35 Fish Oil
  • Grendel Systems – 100 Fish Oil
  • Jayap Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Juttni Brace – 35 Fish Oil
  • Korb Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Kroosta Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Kwath Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Laka Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Lohrin Brace – 35 Fish Oil
  • Mote Amp – 30 Fish Oil
  • Peye Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Seekalla Grip – 50 Fish Oil
  • Twilight Bait x20 – 10 Fish Oil

If you want to build one of every blueprint listed above, you’ll need 660 Fish Oil. However, there’s a good chance you’ll need to make certain blueprints, like some of the Amp parts and the Twilight Bait, multiple times. Provided that you only farm Fish Oil when required, though, getting all 660 you need should seem infinitely less daunting.
