Lithium, as with all other minerals in Starfield, can be purchased from most general stores alongside mining-specific stores. The main three stores for getting Lithium include Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis, Midtown Minerals in Akila City, and the Mining League store in Neon. Other stores may have Lithium in stock, but these will be the most common places to purchase some.

While these are the best places to buy minerals, it’s worth keeping in mind that they might not be selling Lithium when you arrive. If they aren’t, you’ll want to sit down on a chair or at a bench and wait 24 in-game hours. Once you get up and check their stock, it should be refreshed with a supply of Lithium. This is also how you refresh their inventory to buy more, in case you want more than what’s on offer.

What is Lithium Used For in Starfield?

Lithium is used almost exclusively in the production of two mods for laser-based weapons like the Orion assault rifle. The Large Battery and Tactical Battery mods both require Lithium to be crafted and do the following:

  • Large Battery: Increases Ammo capacity at the cost of Aim Down Sight speed and Reload speed.
  • Tactical Battery: Lighter mag that vastly increases Aim Down Sight speed and Reload speed.

While this makes Lithium not the most useful resource in the world, it’s still quite helpful for laser weapons and is worth getting at least a few of.
