There are a lot of great Pokémon for players to find and catch in Pokémon: Let’s Go, including some of the more mythical Pokémon out there, like Aerodactyl. If you’re looking to add some more rare Pokémon to your collection, then Aerodactyl is the perfect candidate. In order to track down this Pokémon to get Aerodactyl in Pokemon: Let’s Go, you’re going to need to find a Fossil and then revive the Pokémon, granting it a chance to live on in your party.
Where to Get the Old Amber Fossil
The first step to getting Aerodactyl is to acquire the Chop Down secret technique. Once you’ve learned this technique, head back to the Museum of Silence in Pewter City. Here you can find a tree behind the museum that you can cut down using Chop Down. With the tree cleared from your path, head into the back of the museum and you’ll meet an NPC that you can talk to.
After the conversation with the NPC, you’ll be given the Old Amber. Now it’s time to move on to the next step of the quest.
How to Revive Aerodactyl
The next part of this quest requires you to reach Cinnabar Island, which won’t be available until much later in the game. Continue your main story progression until you reach Cinnabar Island. Once there, locate the Cinnabar Lab, which is just across from the Pokémon Center on the island.
Make your way inside the lab and then head to the right-hand side of the building. Here you can speak to one of the scientists who is standing next to a machine. This scientist will take the Old Amber fossil that you received from the NPC at the museum and resurrect the Pokémon inside. That Pokémon just so happens to be Aerodactyl.
With the Pokémon reviews, you’ll now have Aerodactyl added to your Pokémon collection. The good news is, Aerodactyl is also one of the rideable Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go, which means those wings aren’t just for show.
