To get to the Abandoned Cave, players must make their way to Caelid. Here, a deep ravine runs north through the area, and the Abandoned Cave can be found on the side of it. Getting there is a little awkward, however. To the west of the Abandoned Cave is a Site of Grace called the Smouldering Wall. From here, turn east and make your way toward the Erdtree in the distance. Aim slightly to the right, and you will come to the deep ravine.

You should be almost directly at the part of the ravine that is crossed by a wizened old tree. You need to make your way across this tree, which will lead to the Abandoned Cave entrance. Be careful, as the tree is difficult to walk across, and you will likely fall. It also doesn’t fully reach the ledge at the far end, and you will need to jump the rest of the way to get to your destination.
