To celebrate the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll be choosing a Pokemon-themed team to represent while you splat your way to victory. Time’s running out, so jump into Splatsville as soon as you can to participate in a weekend of messy turf wars, proving who really is the very best (like no one ever was). The Splatoon x Pokemon Splatfest event begins on November 11, 2022, at 4 pm PT and lasts until November 13, 2022, at 4 pm PT. That gives you 48 hours of messy, splatty fun in special Splatfest-themed game modes and a temporarily redesigned Splatsville hub to hang out in.

To participate in Splatfest, you’ll need to choose a team or, in this instance, a partner Pokemon type. There’s the Grass-type, as represented by Shiver; the Fire-type, represented by Frye; and the Water-type, repped by the one and only Big Man. That’s right, if it wasn’t nerve-wracking enough to choose your starting Pokemon, you’ve also gotta choose a team to claim in Splatoon 3.

Once you choose a team, you’ll get a super cool in-game t-shirt to wear during the event, which has a special Ability Doubler buff to help you crush the competition.

Compete in all the Splatfest-themed game modes, as well as the new Tricolor mode, and help your team reach Champion status. Everyone who participates will receive Super Sea Snails once the event is over, but the winning team will be rewarded with much more.
