Is CS2 Out Yet? When is Counter-Strike 2 Coming Out?

Unfortunately, CS2 is not out yet. If you are seeing somebody playing it, it means that they are a part of the Limited CS2 Beta testing. So far, beta invitations have been issued to almost every active CS:GO player who has a competitive rank, has played a competitive match in the past month, and has Prime.

What is the CS2 Release Date?

Valve was really mysterious about CS2 from the get-go. Sleuthy fans managed to dig up information about “something going on” last year for the CS:GO anniversary, and it was expected that CS2 would be announced at that time.

Valve said that CS2 will be arriving on Steam during summer 2023. When exactly? We don’t know. And if you ask me, it’s better if it’s delayed as much as possible if this would result in a better experience players.

On September 20, 2023, Valve posted the following message on Twitter (X) in cryptic fashion: “What are you doing next Wednesday?”

This heavily implies that CS2 could be released on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. If this date is correct, then it’s all we know. No exact time is mentioned. However, this is not officially confirmed.

As soon as we get more information, we will update this article. In the meantime, make sure to check out how to refund purchases in CS2 if you are new to CS:GO.
