Those looking to add some beefy boys to their team may be on the market for a Machamp. However, what level does Machoke evolve in Pokemon Sword and Shield? We’ll walk you through everything.

What Level Does Machoke Evolve in Pokemon Sword and Shield?

So, you want to get your hands on a Machamp. It isn’t actually that hard. Before you can actually get your mitts on a Machoke, though, you’re going to have to make sure that your Machop hits Level 28.

Once it hits 28, it’s going to turn into a Machoke, which is the form that you’re going to need to hit the next rung on the evolutionary ladder. Technically, your Machoke just has to be Level 28 to actually be eligible to evolve into a Machamp; it’s not a level threshold that has to be met to turn this chunky Pokemon into a real beefcake. You’ll have to do a little more to get the legendary Machamp.

Evolving a Machoke is as simple as trading it to another Pokemon Trainer. Yes, that’s right. The tried and true method of Machoke evolution since the Pokemon Red days. Wild, huh?

Now that you know that the level that Machoke evolves at in Pokemon Sword and Shield is largely redundant, you should be able to get a Machamp of your own so long as you’ve got someone to trade your Machoke to.

This has basically been the norm since the first generation of Pokemon games, and while Galar has thrown Trainers some curveballs, this is definitely one of those “if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it” situations.
