Fairy Type Moves Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

What Item Boosts Fairy Type Moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? – Answered

Fairies are dope

Fairy types are always a welcome addition to any team, especially when there are so many fierce Dragon types roaming around Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The recent 7-star Charizard Tera Raid was a huge example of what a difference having such a Pokemon can do, even if Dragons are not as scary as they used to be in the very early days of catching ‘em all.

And that leads to people not only looking for the best ways of getting their Fairy ‘mons stronger with the best moves available or by training them to their maximum, but also using specific items that will grant them extra power. Some of those are tailor-made to specifically help Fairy Type Moves to be stronger, but which are they? And is there such an item present in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

What Item Boosts Fairy Type Moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

While you can achieve the same results with other equipment, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don’t feature any item that increases the damage for Fairy Type Moves specifically. The Type Plates are some well-known items in the series that actually fulfill this specific role, but they aren’t available yet in the game.

For Fairy types, the correct item would be the Fairy Plate which cannot be obtained in the game’s current state. This may not be the case for much longer, as dataminers have suggested that the plates will be available eventually as the code for them does exist within the game. The most popular theory is that they’ll arrive when Arceus is finally available in the game. This can happen as soon as Pokemon HOME becomes available for Scarlet and Violet or through a new distribution code, whichever comes first.

For now, you can boost your Fairy moves using items such as Choice Band or Choice Specs, but be aware that those will lock you from using any other move until you switch your Pokemon out. A very tough choice, but also very worth it. They also work for every type available in the game, so they’re great items overall.
