How can Alolan Exeggutor be a Dragon?

Dragon is one of the most popular Pokemon types to ever exist and it’s very easy to see why. They’re dragons, for god’s sake. What could be better than dragons? Excluding Fairies, we don’t talk about those. In fact, their introduction was necessary in order to balance Dragon’s very existence because they were extremely overpowered when they still only had Ice (and themselves) as a weakness.

Having access to boosting moves like Dragon Dance and hard-hitting ones like Draco Meteor, trainers strive for their Dragon to hit as hard as they can. And there are some items that were made for that sole purpose. Here you’ll learn which item does that in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

What Item Boosts Dragon Type Moves in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

The most straightforward way of increasing those moves’ damage is by equipping a Dragon Fang, which boosts their damage by 20%. They can be found in the Delibird Presents stores in Cascarrafa and are immediately available as soon as you get there, costing you only 3000 Poke Dollars. Give it to any Pokemon that focuses on using its Dragon-type moves in battle, especially if they have access to other setup moves that can bump those numbers a little bit more.

Dragon Fang is currently the only item that directly boosts the Dragon-type moves in the game, but it’s expected that the Dragon Plate will also be added down the line. It has basically the same effects and it’s directly associated with Arceus, meaning that it should be introduced when Scarlet and Violet finally get a legitimate way of getting this Legendary Pokemon.

Other items such as Choice Specs and Choice Band will also indirectly increase the damage of Dragon and every other move, but after attacking once, they will lock your Pokemon from using any other of its moves until you switch it out, making Dragon Fang a more flexible option.
