Starting on October 6, PlayStation players can start jumping into the Modern Warfare 3 Beta, but there are only so many levels to earn. Each weekend will have a set amount of levels that you can reach to unlock new weapons, and it looks like we will be able to get halfway through progression on all platforms.

Max Level in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta Explained

The max level for the Modern Warfare 3 Beta in weekend one is level 20. During the second weekend, the max level will be 30, which gives everyone plenty of time to test out a handful of weapons in the first half of the game. Reaching level 20 in the first weekend will take you at least a few hours of game time and you have around five days.

Weekend two picks back up on October 13 for all platforms, and that means another 10 levels. Some of the unlocks can already be seen, including the Ghost gear and the Dead Silence boots. Both are unlocked below level 30, so expect to have a chance to try these when every platform has access to the game.

If you manage to reach the max level in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta, you can earn the Jabber’s Tester Operator Skin. It looks like a red crash test dummy with tactical gear, and of course, a weapon blueprint to match. These beta weeks always have a small incentive to reach the max level, so if you want some more cosmetics, make sure to jump in.

Keep in mind as you play that many of the items will be altered for balance when MW3 launches. There are also more weapons and equipment pieces to unlock, so everything you see in the beta is not the full list. After all, every MW2 weapon will also transfer to the full game when November rolls around.
