There are many reasons players might want to know the location of their save game file on PC. Everything from save-scumming to modding is possible for people who are dedicated enough.
The first thing you will need to do is turn on your ability to see hidden folders in Windows, and you can find the methods to do it on both Windows 10 and 11 below. After that, you will want to make your way to the following destination:
- C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing
In that folder, you will find a file that is just a long string of numbers, and this is your save folder. If you want to back it up, you can simply copy it to another place like a different drive or even onto the desktop. Should you feel the need to restore to that save point, copy and paste it back into the fold and agree to replace the folder that is already in there with the new copy.

Eagle-eyed players will also notice the GraphicsConfig file in that folder. This can be opened using a program like Notepad for anyone who wants to mess around with custom settings.
