Endorsements in Overwatch 2 allow you to reward a player for good behavior. Initially, in Overwatch 1, players would have three different options to endorse a player for a variety of different reasons.

In Overwatch 2, the system has been streamlined, and now players just receive or give a general Endorsement. The more Endorsements you receive, the higher your level will go.

You can rank up from levels 1-5 and are indicated by the colored symbols next to players’ names on the screen. This will let you know at a glance if this player is widely reviewed as someone who works as a team and has good sportsmanship. Endorsements are not a representation of skill but how they contribute to the team’s vibes.

It’s important to note that a player’s endorsement level can go down if they do not receive enough endorsements over a set of matches or if they receive reports or blocks from other players. Being toxic and rude in the chat is one of the easiest ways to lose endorsement levels.
