What Do Amiibo Do In The Legend of Zelda Tears of The Kingdom?

If you scan a Legend of Zelda series Amiibo in Tears of the Kingdom you will receive in-game rewards to help you on your journey to save Hyrule from imminent despair.

You can read the official tweet from Nintendo below.

“Scanning amiibo from The Legend of Zelda series will also give you helpful materials and weapons. You can receive helpful materials, weapons, or a paraglider fabric based on the amiibo you scanned.”

The Tweet shows four potential glider rewards from the following amiibo:

  • Skyward Sword amiibo
  • Majora’s Mask amiibo
  • The new Tears of the Kingdom amiibo
  • Rider Link from Breath of the Wild

Other series amiibo will give materials for you to use in the game. It’s unclear if there will be other special rewards like the paraglider skins from special Legend of Zelda amiibo like the four champions from Breath of the Wild. When we learn more, we will update this guide accordingly.
