While Warframe’s new tome weapons are still quite new, plenty of builds are already cropping up for the weapon. Here’s the best Grimoire build in Warframe.

The Best Mods for the Grimoire in Warframe

This build was designed by shadowavatar on Overframe and is designed around damage rather than support as compared to other builds. It will require five Forma if you want everything at max rank. You’ll need the following mods to make it work:

  • Hornet Strike
  • Primed Pistol Gambit
  • Galvanized Shot
  • Lethal Torrent
  • Galvanized Diffusion
  • Pistol Pestilence
  • Deep Freeze
  • Primed Heated Charge
  • Jahu Canticle (Exilus mod slot)

You’ll also want Secondary Merciless as the weapon’s Arcane. Otherwise, you’re free to replace any Galvanized or Primed mods with their regular counterparts if you don’t own them. The Grimoire won’t be as effective, but it will take less Forma to get all the mods at max rank slotted in.

As for the rest of your build around the weapon, you should bring a frame that has the Pillage ability from Hildryn subsumed if possible. A great frame for this is Wisp, who I use in my build. With everything in the build already I can do 100% armor strip on enemy targets, but the Jahu Canticle mod on the Grimoire can speed up the process significantly.

What if I Want an Invocation Mod on My Grimoire?

If you want to use one of the new Invocation mods on your Grimoire, then you’re free to do so. Just be sure to leave the elemental mods alone, since they’re integral to the build. The best mod to swap out would likely be Lethal Torrent since it’s the least powerful and detrimental of the bunch, but feel free to test things out and see what works best for you.
