Where to Get the Secondary Encumber Arcane in Warframe

The Secondary Encumber Arcane in Warframe can be earned in one of two ways. You can either get the Arcane as a Rotation C drop from the Tyana Pass Mirror Defense mission, or you can purchase it from Otak in the Necralisk for 60 Belric and 60 Rania Crystal Fragments. These resources are also earned from the Tyana Pass Mirror Defense mission, so you’ll need to farm it a lot to get the Arcane. If you go the random drop route, you’ll get the Arcane as a 5.70% drop chance from Rotation C.

What Does Secondary Encumber Do?

The Secondary Encumber Arcane is a secondary weapon Arcane that gives that weapon a chance to apply an extra, random status effect when applying a status effect to an enemy. The chance for this to trigger depends on the rank of the Arcane, which you can see the distribution for below:

  • Rank 0: 4%
  • Rank 1: 8%
  • Rank 2: 12%
  • Rank 3: 16%
  • Rank 4: 20%
  • Rank 5: 24%

While running additional Status Chance on your weapon doesn’t increase the chance of this effect proccing, having additional Multishot can give more chances for the effect to trigger. You also can only trigger the effect once per bullet, even if you’re running a shotgun and hit five enemies at once. All around, this makes the Arcane great for Multishot-based secondary weapons and very little else, since other weapon types can benefit from other Arcanes like Secondary Merciless more.
