Warframe: How to Complete Alchemy Missions

Potion seller, I require your strongest potion.

While some of the new nodes in Warframe’s Whispers in the Walls update are nice to spice things up, one has caused some confusion for players. Here’s how to complete Alchemy missions in Warframe.

Warframe Alchemy Mission Walkthrough

Alchemy missions are currently only available through bounties or the node Cambire on Deimos. When entering the node, you’ll be required to head to the first Crucible, which repeats based on how many of the Crucibles you’ve completed. Once you’ve arrived, a new bit of the UI will appear showing two elements fusing into a new element.

In essence, your goal is to kill enemies until they drop an item that relates to that element. For example, my run (shown in the picture above) lists both Toxin and Cold combined into Viral as an element. As such, I want to find and pick up both light blue and green items from the dead bodies of nearby enemies.

Once you pick up the colored items, you want to throw them at the Crucible. Alternatively, you can throw these at enemies to damage them in the listed element.

Once you’ve thrown enough of these drops into the Crucible to where both elements are at 100%, it’s time to begin the Conversion process. This will initiate a bar on the side of your screen that is gradually increasing toward a maximum value, with an area listed. Your goal is to keep the white bar within that area, without it going over or under. To do this, you want to hit Distressed Pipes nearby at the right time. Both this UI element and the Distressed Pipes are shown in the images above. Distressed Pipes are typically found either in the same room as the Crucible, or in the immediately adjacent room.

Once the Conversion Progress hits 100%, you’ll receive a reward and get the option to either extract or do more Crucibles for additional rewards.

What Rewards Can You Get From Completing Alchemy Missions?

The rewards will vary depending on which Rotation you’re on. You’ll receive Rotation A rewards when completing the first two Crucibles, with the Rotation B and C rewards coming from the third and fourth Crucibles. On the fifth Crucible. The cycle repeats itself. While the Rotation A rewards are mostly unexciting with resources and Relics, you can get Mandonel parts from Rotations B and C, and Tennokai mods from Rotation C.
