Vampire Survivors: How to Unlock Skull O’Maniac (Curse)

Can I Play With Madness?

Skull O’Maniac is a passive item in Vampire Survivors that gives you a 10% Curse bonus per level. You can unlock it by surviving 30 minutes with Lama. However, you first need to unlock Lama.

How to Unlock Skull O’Maniac and Lama in Vampire Survivors

In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock both in detail, as well as how the Curse mechanic works.

If you have unlocked the Milky Way map, you will be able to see the location of the Skull O’Maniac in the Mad Forest stage:

In case that you do not have the map unlocked, the guide for unlocking it can be found here.

From the starting area, move towards the top left diagonally, and you will be there in no time.

After you pick it up, stay alive for 20 minutes bearing it. If you successfully do so, you will unlock Lama as a playable character (make sure to pick up the skull in the first 10 minutes so that you don’t get cut off by Red Death (Reaper)).

Then, when you play with Lama and survive 30 minutes, you fully unlock Skull O’Maniac as a pre-game power-up and as an item you can level up during the game.

Please note that Skull O’Maniac is necessary for the evolution of the weapon Song of Mana, called Mannajja, which is very powerful.

What is the benefit of having Curse in Vampire Survivors?

Every level of Curse increases enemy speed, health, quantity, and frequency by 10%, so be careful not to be overwhelmed by enemies since the Curse “bonuses” can stack up very high if you become reckless. The benefits are pretty good, because you can get more gold and more XP, since you are killing more enemies and all that.
