Until Dawn Remake Save File Location on PC

Save these files first!

Until Dawn Remake is the latest PlayStation-exclusive title to join the PC platform and is rebuilt by Ballistic Moon on Unreal Engine 5. The PC version has a decent number of settings to customize and supports multiple Steam features as well. If you want to access your local progress data, though, here is the Until Dawn Remake save file location.

Until Dawn Remake Save File Location

The save files for Until Dawn Remake are available in the following location on PC.

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Bates\Saved\SaveGames

The SaveGames folder contains the save data, and we recommend backing up the entire Bates folder so the configuration files are copied as well. If you only want the save files specifically though, the SaveGames folder is enough.

Faster Navigation

To quickly navigate to the same location, you can use Windows Run. You can bring up Run by pressing the Windows and R keys together.

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Bates\Saved\SaveGames\

This will take you to the exact location of the files, and you can back those up.

Does Until Dawn Remake have Steam Cloud Support?

Yes, Until Dawn Remake has Steam Cloud support on PC, and you can easily pick up your progress on a different device. We highly recommend keeping it enabled as the save files aren’t that large and less than 500 KB in size making them pretty easy to upload to the Steam cloud.

This will also help in repeated playthroughs, and you won’t have to lose your existing data. While the Steam Deck performance isn’t ideal, it’s not entirely unplayable, which makes Steam Cloud support a handy feature.

Overall, the Until Dawn Remake is a decent PC port, but its mixed reception is largely due to the pricing, features not working properly, and aesthetic changes. We hope that the developers continue to patch the release and iron out the issues that players have reported.
