The Surge 2 Boss Weapons Guide

There are tons of different categories of weapons in The Surge 2, with different types being better equipped for various situations compared to others. However, we’re really only concerned with weapons that we know drop from bosses. You know, the good stuff. Still, we’ll give you a brief rundown of why we reckon these weapons are worth it and when we find more, we’ll add them to our list.

The Surge 2 Boss Weapons – Little Johnny’s Forceps

These are dropped from the Boss District Lord at T2. They’re twin-rigged weapons, which means that they a comparatively quick attack speed, allowing you to punch hard and fast at the expense of more stamina. These forceps have 99 base damage, 14 impact, and increase your attack speed by almost 100%. They can also be upgraded in a variety of ways, mainly to downplay the stamina consumption, to increase the already laser-fast attack speed, and to up the physical damage done. You can find an upgraded v2 of this weapon as well.

The Surge 2 Boss Weapons – General’s A.C.U

These are dropped from the Boss General in T4. They’re punching gloves, which mean that they have a high attack speed to compensate for low impact and base damage. You can pummel your enemies in short bursts, opening up windows for you to really lay the hurt on, and to keep it going when they’re vulnerable. Like Little Johnny’s Forceps, you can get an upgrade v2 of this weapon, which has 106 base damage, 12 impact, and increases your attack speed by 75%. You can get upgrades to the energy gain percentage of this weapon, as well as the physical damage.

The Surge 2 Boss Weapons – JAG-22 ‘Aeterna’

This drops from the Boss Hunter in T3. It’s a one-handed weapon, which means that it has a decreased range but it’s got a decently balanced spread of stats across weapon speed and damage. It’s got decently high base damage of 103, 15 impact, and increases your attack speed by 105%. You can also upgrade its energy gain to a bumping 80%, and upgrade the physical damage done by the weapon.

The Surge 2 Boss Weapons – Warhammer of Forced Conversation

This is, well, as the name suggests, a hammer that drops from the Boss Prophet in T2. Being a hammer, this means that it packs a hell of a punch when it comes to damage at the expense of being slow. Not a whole ton of weapons fall under this category in The Surge 2, but they definitely have their uses. It has 22 impact, 103 base damage, but consumes a whole lot of stamina. You can upgrade it to give you energy gain, and to increase the physical damage that it dishes out so that you can really crack some skulls.

There are likely other The Surge 2 boss weapons kicking around as well, and once we’ve had another crack through the game we’ll make sure that we put them on this list too. However, this should be enough to get you started if you’re getting a little stuck on how best to deal out the pain to the enemies standing between you and the next bit of loot.
