The first ever Horror Game Awards has officially concluded, honoring the greatest games in the genre from the past year. From highly touted remakes to indie gems, the new horror-themed awards debut ceremony showcased an eclectic lineup of the best scary games on the market. Thanks to Resident Evil’s rabid fanbase, the first-ever Horror Game Awards ceremony was a banner night for the franchise, as Capcom picked up six Golden Bats in total, including best VR/AR Game for Resident Evil Village and five honors for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, including the inaugural “Game of the Year Award.” Signalis was a distant second with two awards for “Best Indie Horror” and “Best Narrative.”
