Mages are some of the most common classes among RPGs, and Warhammer 40K: Darktide delivers on that love with the Psyker class, and its first subclass the Psykinetic. Using the powers of the Warp, the Psykinetic does everything from summoning magic through staffs or exploding brains with their Brain Burst ability. Before you can make full use of the class, you’ll need a solid build of weapons and feats to complement it. Here is the best build for the Psyker Psykinetic in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

Starting with weapons, there’s a lot of flexibility for your ranged options and only a select few for your melee options. Regardless of the options, this is what we believe to be the best weapon combination for the Psyker:

  • Primary Weapon: Maccabian Mk IV Dueling Sword
  • Secondary Weapon: Equinox Mk IV Voidstrike Force Staff

For melee, you could arguably do just fine with any of the Dueling Sword variants that you wish, though most people tend to find the best success with the Mk IV that’s unlocked as Psyker’s last melee option at trust level 20. When it comes to ranged weapons, any staff could do you wonders, though a fan-favorite is the Voidstrike Force Staff. This is due to its explosive properties on its alternate fire allowing it to serve for either horde-clearing or specialist/elite killing.

Moving over to the feat choices, the following build is one of the best you can have for the Psyker Psykinetic:

  • Level 5: Essence Harvest
  • Level 10: Wrack and Ruin
  • Level 15: Psykinetic’s Aura
  • Level 20: Mind in Motion
  • Level 25: Kinetic Flayer
  • Level 30: Ascendant Blaze

This build centers around a nice, well-rounded setup of Warp Charge benefits, Soulblaze spreading, and survivability. The level 20 feat could be swapped out for some of the other options, but we feel being able to spam your Brain Burst and staff without fear of being hit during Peril quelling. Otherwise, sending out plenty of Soulblaze will give a great mix of single-target and horde-clearing potential.

When given proper time and learning to know when you can safely execute different moves, the Psyker can be a massive value to its team with its specialist/elite killing potential.
