Multiplayer FPS games have been very competitive since the early days of the genre, and gamers have always done their best to develop their skills as well as their hardware (one doesn’t go without the other). Even if you are the best player out there, having bad hardware or unstable FPS will not allow you to play at your best and will cost you in many situations. With that said, here are the best graphics cards for Apex Legends in Season 16.
What is the Best Graphics Card for Apex Legends in Season 16?
Please be advised that other important components such as CPU, RAM, SSD, and monitor (mainly because of the refresh rate) should be on par with the GPU of your choice for the purposes of evading the infamous bottleneck and fulfilling the full potential of your hardware. On the other hand, If you are a budget 1080p player, you should get away with 60 FPS with cards that are at the bottom of this list.

Best GPUs for Apex Legends in Season 16 Listed (April 2023)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
The new NVIDIA top-tier graphics card seizes the #1 spot. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (16 GB, since 12 GB has been canceled)
The new NVIDIA graphics card is outperforming the RTX 3090 Ti and has a lower MSRP, so if you haven’t upgraded your GPU, wait out until RTX 4080 becomes available in your region. Hypothetically speaking, the 12 GB version was on par with it - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
This is the best card on the market at the time of publishing of this article. If you have a no-limit budget and want to go 4K, just straight up go for this one. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
Slightly under the Ti counterpart, 3090 is one of the strongest on the market and should serve you reliably for at least three years for most new games that come out. For Apex Legends, you should have no issues, except perhaps in very massive and chaotic scenes while you have the highest settings on. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
Similar to the above entry, the 3080 Ti is another top-tier GPU, which should serve you well for at least two years for most new games that come out. If you encounter some stutters in massive fights (which should be rare), tune down the settings just a bit. 4K at 60 FPS, 1440p at 144 FPS, and 1080p at 240 FPS should be constant with this GPU (assuming you have great CPU and RAM). - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
This one should do good at 1080p 240 FPS if you’re into high FPS gaming. And of course, you should be having no issues with any other new games for a few years. You can easily try pushing for 4K at 60 FPS with this one as well, not to mention, 1440p at 144 FPS. This would be a “sweet spot” in terms of being the cheapest way to obtain top performance. - AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT
Currently the strongest AMD Radeon card on the market. It’s almost on par with the 3080 Ti / 3090 and has a better price, but we’ve seen some small stutters that the RTX 3080 doesn’t have. - AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
Currently, the second strongest AMD Radeon card which should almost be on par with 3080 / 3080 Ti for a significantly lower price than the NVIDIA counterparts. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
This card should be right under the 3080 performance-wise, but we’d purchase the 3080 because the price difference is definitely worth it long-term. It’s slightly struggling to keep up 240 FPS with 1080p at High graphics settings but it handles 1440p at 144 FPS very well. - AMD Radeon RX 6800
The lowest entry from AMD in this list, just marginally below 3070 Ti in both price and performance departments. If you’re more of an AMD person, there is absolutely no harm in buying this one over the 3070 Ti. After all, the tests we have witnessed show that this GPU is absolutely crushing it at high graphics settings in all resolutions (4K, 1440p, 1080p) - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
This is the empowered variant of the budget card in the 3000 Series, but it should be able to push 120 or even 144 FPS at 1080p, though it might struggle to pull that off at 1440p (depending on other factors of course), but, for 4K resolution, you’ll need to satisfy yourself with “just” stable 60 FPS. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
We could have put the regular 3060 here, but we opted for the 2080 Ti instead. This card is the best in the NVIDIA 2000 series and successfully defends its honor of it to this day, and should be a safe solution for 1080p gameplay.

An honorable mention goes to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, which can run the game at 1080p (with 144 FPS), 1440p (with 60 FPS), and even 4K (but with just 30 FPS). The tests we’ve seen show that 1080 Ti can achieve 60 FPS under 4K with more calm settings, but as soon as some huge action is on screen, FPS starts to drop. We find that playing under stable 60 FPS is a bigger priority for a competitive First Person Shooter game than having fancy resolution and sharp graphics. And really, 1080p is still the standard of gaming in 2022, so there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
