Tears of the Kingdom – Where To Get Amber, Opal & Topaz Earrings In TOTK

All that Glitters is Gold...

While the main focus of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may be restoring Hyrule to its normal self once again, there are plenty of different reasons to go off of the beaten path and explore the massive world around you. One of these reasons, if you’re anything like me, is to search out the plethora of different armors available in the game. While the Earrings may not be the most impressive physically, their boosts make them well worth the time it takes to search them out. Let’s find out where you can find Amber, Opal, and Topaz Earrings, and what kind of buffs they’ll offer you and Link on this journey.

Starlight Memories Jewelry is easy to spot, thanks in part to the banner displaying a diamond on the front of it, alongside the elaborate structure on the top of the building. You’ll just need to walk inside to see the wares that are available for you to purchase.

The Amber Earrings are the least expensive item in the shop but will give you a nice defensive boost that can help you survive some of the harshest attacks in the game. If you’re hoping to upgrade these earrings, you will need the following:

  • 1 Star Upgrade – x10 Amber, x5 Flint, x10 Rupees
  • 2 Star Upgrade – x20 Amber, x10 Flint, x50 Rupees
  • 3 Star Upgrade – x35 Amber, x15 Flint, x200 Rupees
  • 4 Star Upgrade – x60 Amber, x25 Flint, x500 Rupees

With an overall defense rating of 28, these are worth the time and money to upgrade, especially if you make use of the glider duplication glitch to rack up items quickly.

The Opal Earrings are the runner-up for the most expensive, coming in at 700 Rupees to purchase. However, these earrings harness the power of Water to let you swim faster than ever before and could pair great with the Zora Armor. If you’re looking to upgrade these earrings, you will need the following:

  • 1 Star Upgrade – x6 Opal, x5 Flint, x10 Rupees
  • 2 Star Upgrade – x12 Opal, x10 Flint, x50 Rupees
  • 3 Star Upgrade – x18 Opal, x15 Flint, x200 Rupees
  • 4 Star Upgrade – x30 Opal, x25 Flint, x500 Rupees

With an overall 20 Defense, these will provide a fair bit of protection against baddies and will help you make the perfect look no matter what armor you decide to embark in.

Topaz Earrings are going to be the most expensive of the group, and there is a good reason for that. The Topaz Earrings will allow Link to be outside during a Thunderstorm while reducing the chance of getting struck by lightning. If you’re looking to upgrade these earrings, you will need the following:

  • 1 Star Upgrade – x2 Topaz, x3 Flint, x10 Rupees
  • 2 Star Upgrade – x4 Topaz, x5 Flint, x50 Rupees
  • 3 Star Upgrade – x6 Topaz, x1 Star Fragment, x200 Rupees
  • 4 Star Upgrade – x10 Topax, x2 Star Fragments, x500 Rupees

While these are the most physically weak set of earrings when it comes to preparing your defenses for battles ahead, their Shock Resistance trait makes them more valuable overall, even needing Star Fragments to upgrade them. This special ability makes these some of the best earrings or amor to have in the game period.
