Super Mario Bros. Wonder is set to release on October 20, 2023. October is a hectic month in the gaming sphere, and the latest Super Mario title will have to compete with the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake II, Forza Motorsport, and fellow Nintendo exclusive Detective Pikachu Returns.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, which isn’t surprising given that Mario is one of Nintendo’s most iconic brands. Ultimately, the latest Mario entry will not appear on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Explained

According to the game’s official description for its physical editions, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is explained as follows:

“Find wonder in the next evolution of Mario fun. Classic Mario side-scrolling gameplay is turned on its head with the addition of Wonder Flowers. These game-changing items trigger spectacular moments you have to see to believe…Witness pipes coming alive, wreak havoc as a giant spiky ball, and see even more unexpected events called Wonder Effects. Choose from familiar characters including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi and Toad. Transform into Elephant Mario to use your trunk to trounce enemies with a surprising new Power-Up!”

To recap, Super Mario Bros. Wonder will launch on October 20, 2023, on Nintendo Switch, returning to classic side-scrolling Mario fun with some intriguing new gameplay mechanics.
