The legendary Pokemon Suicune is now obtainable via five-star raids in Pokemon Go. Suicune will be available from February 4 through the 9th. Here’s everything you need to know about Suicune raids, counters, and more.
Suicune Raid Counters In Pokemon Go
Suicune is a pure water type, which means your best bet for taking it down is either with grass or electric Pokemon.
Your main three options if you want to go the Mega Evolution route or Mega Abomasnow, Mega Venasaur, or Mega Ampharos.
Obviously, Mega Ampharos is the newest addition to the roster, only coming after the Mareep incense day a few weeks back.
If you don’t have access to any Mega evolutions when fighting Suicune, here are some other great choices.
- Zapdos – Thunderbolt
- Zekrom – Wild Charge
- Raikou – Wild Charge
- Roserade – Razor Leaf
- Luxray – Spark
All of these are excellent options to help take down Suicune in Pokemon Go.
Suicune Stats
Here’s some more information about the Suicune you’ll encounter in Pokemon Go five-star raids.
Suicune is found between 1627-1704 CP if not boosted by any weather effects. If you happen to find a Suicune while it’s raining the CP boost will be between 2033-2130 CP.
The higher the CP the better chance Suicune will have perfect IVs.
Can Suicune Be Shiny?
The five-star raid version of Suicune also has a chance of being shiny. So if you’re looking for a chance at catching a shiny Suicune, here you go.
