When is Ed Being Added to Street Fighter 6?

Ed’s release date for Street Fighter 6 is February 27. The Ed gameplay trailer video uploaded to the Street Fighter official YouTube channel on February 8 didn’t include any information on when Ed is set to join Street Fighter 6. The official Street Fighter 6 website, on the other hand, confirms that Ed will be available on February 27.

How Much will Ed Cost in Street Fighter 6?

So far, each Street Fighter 6 DLC character has cost 350 Fighter Coins, which is equivalent to 7 USD. It’s highly likely that Ed will also cost 350 Fighter Coins, or $7.

If you’re interested in trying out Ed before committing to buy him, you can use Street Fighter 6’s Rental Fighter system to have access to him for an hour.

“Ed Arrives!” Fighting Pass Premium Rewards

To celebrate Ed’s addition to Street Fighter 6, a special Fighting Pass will be active from February 1 until February 22. Among the Fighting Pass’s Ed themed Premium rewards are:

  • Five pieces of avatar gear,
  • Five stickers,
  • Three title backgrounds,
  • A photo frame,
  • A device wallpaper,
  • An avatar emote,
  • And the classic game Captain Commando to play on the in-game arcade machines.

There are also three pieces of music that can be obtained as part of the Ed Arrives! Fighting Pass. They are:

  • Ed’s Theme from Street Fighter 5,
  • Falke’s Theme,
  • And Balrog’s Theme.

The above unlockables are all in addition to the Fighting Pass’s free rewards, which include an Ed sticker and Ed’s gloves as an avatar item.

Ed will have an Outfit 2 upon release, and eventually, he will get an Outfit 3 like the rest of Street Fighter 6’s cast. While you wait for Ed’s release and his eventual Outfit 3, check out our guide to the base game’s roster’s Outfit 3s and their inspirations.
