The Valo system in Starfield is home to HopeTown and HopeTech headquarters, which play a small role in certain storylines and offer some unique stuff for shipbuilding enthusiasts. You’ll likely want to familiarize yourself with the Valo system if only to find your way to this noteworthy town. But that’s not all you’ll find in the Valo system. Valo also features several planets and moons where you can find an abundance of resources and services.

Also of note, the Valo system is controlled by the Freestar Collective. This will likely be your first interaction with them, and they’ll scan you for contraband on arrival. So be sure you’re prepared to make a quick escape or otherwise handover any ill-begotten goods.

Starfield’s Valo system can be found to the northeast of the Alpha Centauri system and east of the Sol system. The reason you might not see it is because the Narion system is situated directly on top of it. To reach it, you’ll have to click on Narion and then select Valo from the drop-down menu.

Valo System Planets and Moons

The Valo system has five separate planes and six moons, which are as follows:

  • Cantra.
  • Hillex.

Where is Hopetown in Starfield’s Valo System?

HopeTown can be found on the planet of Polvo in the Valo system. You may have to be scanned by the Freestar Collective before landing there, so don’t have contraband on you. In HopeTown, you can find two major places worth checking: The Pit Stop and the Ship Services Technician.

Tip:

If you try to visit Polvo with contraband, you will have it confiscated along with other goods on your ship. If you need a good place to sell them first, you should head to The Den, located within the Wolf system. Speak with the Trade Authority rep there, then sell your contraband before visiting Polvo.

The Pit Stop is a small bar immediately in front of the Spaceport, which houses a mission board and Bounty Clearance kiosk. Otherwise, the Ship Services Technician can give you new ship purchasing options and some parts to modify your ship’s layout. Unlike many other Technicians across Starfield’s systems, however, this one provides you with the unique HopeTech parts such as the Companionway Fuselages and their Engineering Bay.

Where Else Has Technicians With Unique Ship Parts?

HopeTown isn’t the only location with a unique Ship Services Technician. Several other Technicians outside Starfield’s Valo system have parts specific to the location they’re working for. A few examples of these include Veronica Young in the Ryujin tower on Neon, the Technician in New Homestead (Titan, Sol system), and Nikau on the Deimos Staryard in the Sol system. You should do your best to visit all Ship Services Technicians, since some have unique parts and ships exclusive to their location.

That’s all we have for the Valo system in Starfield, but if you’re looking for other unique Technicians, check out our guide on all Ship Services Technicians in Starfield.
