Houses are too expensive, so get one for free when you can!

Buying a house is expensive in real life — and that doesn’t change in the Sims 4. If you want to upgrade from your starter house to a more luxurious space, you’ll need to save more than a few Simoleons to make that happen. But if you want to fast-track that process without paying a dime, the Sims 4 Free Real Estate Cheat will be helpful.

Using the Sims 4 Free Real Estate Cheat

To enable the Free Real Estate Cheat, players must open the cheat code menu in the Sims 4 and input the ‘FreeRealEstate On’ command. The input command is the same whether or not you’re playing on a PC or console. However, accessing the cheat code menu is a different story.

Free Real Estate Cheat on PC

To enable cheats on PC, you must first press CTRL + SHIFT + C on the keyboard to open the cheat code menu. Then, in the textbox that appears, type ‘FreeRealEstate On’ and press enter. You should then get a confirmation that the cheat is now enabled.

From there, you can go into ‘Manage Worlds’ and choose a desired lot to move in your Sim. If you want to turn off the Free Real Estate cheat, use the same set of buttons to open the cheat code menu, type in ‘FreeRealEstate off’, and press Enter.

Free Real Estate Cheat on Console

To enable cheats on consoles, you must press all the trigger buttons on your controller. If you’re using a Playstation controller, press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2. If Xbox is your poison, press LB + LT + RB + RT. An important note is that you cannot earn trophies on a Sims 4 save with cheats enabled.

Once the cheat code menu is open, type in “FreeRealEstate On’ and press X on Playstation or A on Xbox to confirm. The cheat should then be turned on and you can go into ‘Manage worlds’ to begin moving Sims around. Similar to PC, if you want to turn off the cheat, open the cheat code menu with the same set of buttons and type in ‘FreeRealEstate off’, followed by your respective confirmation button.
