Dragons Dogma 2 Norman Truth or Lie Feature

Should You Lie or Tell the Truth to Norman in Vernworth in Dragon’s Dogma 2? – Answered

Not all choices are real

After finally arriving in Vernworth and being temporarily detained and questioned, you learn the truth about your memory loss and your status as the Arisen. But once you start roaming the streets, you’re faced with the moral question of telling or not the truth to guard Norman.

Should You Lie or Tell the Truth About the Urchin for Norman?

As soon as you finish your small “interrogation” section, you stumble upon a mysterious boy fleeing from guards. He immediately hides (in plain sight and in the worst way possible) behind you, and Norman questions if you’ve happened to meet that fleeing urchin. You’re given a choice to either lie and protect the boy or just snitch on him right in the act.

If you tell the truth, Norman will immediately start chasing him and both will be seen running off the screen. But if you lie to protect him, he says he’s in your debt and prepares to ask you something important. However, the guards still catch a glimpse of him (since he’s still right in front of you, you know?) and he runs off anyway.

So whichever option you choose, Norman will still chase the boy. But don’t worry, you still meet him again later in the game. Your choice here will only get you some slightly different dialogues with no impact on the storyline. He’s an important character in the plot, but it isn’t quite the time to be properly introduced to him yet.

So just pick whichever option you deem best. I initially chose to lie in the hopes of being well-rewarded for that, but all I got was some extra dialogue lines. They were still funnier than the snitching path, though, so it was worth it. Similar choices will keep appearing as you advance, so make them as freely as you want.
