In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, there are various tombs, crypts, and locations that are worth revisiting later on in your journey. To avoid having to backtrack on foot, you’ll need to know how to fast travel. This guide will briefly explain how fast traveling works in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and what is required to do so.
How to Fast Travel
Before we explain how to fast travel in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, it’s worth mentioning that you won’t have the ability to fast travel right away. Fast travel unlocks later in the game, after you have made several hours of progress into the main story. Make note of some of the locations that you’d like to return to so that you can finish up any challenge tombs or explore other areas you may have put on hold earlier.
Once you have unlocked the ability to fast travel in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you can do so by visiting any of your base camps that you’ve found along your journey. Head over to the nearest campfire to access your base camp menu. Select Fast Travel panel on the far right, then pick which base camp to fast travel to.
That’s it! Fast travel is as easy as warping between base camps. Use fast travel to revisit locations that contained challenge tombs or other areas that were otherwise unexplored. Some areas require a specific weapon to access passages that contain loot and resources, so as you unlock new equipment in the game, make it a priority to go back and visit places that you couldn’t access before without specific items.
