Someone give this bull man a shirt

Minotaur’s aren’t just a thing of legend. They’re real bipedal cowmen who’ve haunted the terrain of the North for centuries. And now, with the creeping Blight, they’ve made their way south. And one particularly large Minotaur is leading the charge. Here’s how to find Sekhret in Final Fantasy 16 and all the rewards you’ll get for beating him.

Sekhret Hunt Location & Rewards in Final Fantasy 16 (FFXVI)

Quite a few enemies in Final Fantasy 16 are big, stout, and swing big clubs. That’s certainly the case for our bare-chested Minotaur friend, Sekhret. And while none of that is a crime, his proximity to Martha’s Rest and the surrounding town has earned him a place on the Hunt Board. Fortunately, this Rank-B , level 31 mark isn’t hard to find.

To find Sekhret, you’ll need to go to Martha’s Rest on the world map. But the waypoint on the world map might say something different if you used a different Obelisk last, like Three Reeds. Because I was just hunting Belphegor, the waypoint for me read Eastpool.

Once you’ve arrived at Martha’s Rest, head North towards Greensheaves. Stay North until you hit the wall, then turn left. There, at the edge of the map, you’ll find Sekhret wandering around, looking both mighty and meaty.

As you might expect from a large Minotaur, Sekhret is a heavy hitter. But he telegraphs his moves very clearly, as he moves slow. That makes him one of the easiest bosses to both dodge and practice parries on. But if he uses his signature move, Raging Bull, it’s better to back away. This is Sekhret’s fastest move and it can hit multiple times.

Rewards for Defeating Sekhret in Final Fantasy 16

Upon defeating Sekhret, you’ll receive the following rewards:

  • Minotaur Mane (uncommon crafting material).
  • 800 Experience.
  • 60 Ability Points.
  • 8,200 Gold.
  • 20 Renown.

While you’re in the area, this is a great time to snag the Notorious Mark Severian. Check out how to find it here: Severian Hunt Location & Rewards in Final Fantasy 16 (FFXVI).
