Seismitoad Pokemon Sword and Shield Location Guide

So, you want a Seismitoad on your team. Alternatively, you’re not quite sure what one is, but you can probably hazard a guess from the name. A Seismitoad is a Water and Ground Type Pokemon boasting decent speed and attack, though its typing means that it’s especially weak to Grass Type Pokemon.

You’ll be able to catch this final evolution of the Tympole line in the Dappled Grove (which is quite a ways on if you’re just cracking through the game), so those wanting to get their mitts on one will have to make sure that they’ve made a whole lot of progress towards the end-game first.

Seismitoads evolve from Palpitoads, which are basically glorified sentient lightbulbs with webbed feet and strange attitudes to match. They evolve at Level 36 from Palpitoads, who in turn evolve from Tympoles at Level 25. If you’re wanting to see the line all the way through and you aren’t keen to wait until the main story of Pokemon Sword and Shield is basically over to get your Seismitoad, then you can pick up a Tympole from West Lake Axewell in the following weather conditions:

  • Overcast
  • Raining
  • Thunderstorm
  • Snowing
  • Snowstorm
  • Heavy Fog

Now that you’ve got an idea of what the Seismitoad Pokemon Sword and Shield location is, getting one of your own shouldn’t be too difficult. If you think it might take too long, then we’ve even told you where to get its tiny baby evolutionary form. How handy! Need help with anything else as you adventure around Galar?
