Red Dead Redemption 2 Horse Brush Guide – Finding a Brush

We’ll make sure that you don’t fall at this first hurdle. Essentially, you’re going to have to have finished the quest Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego. You get this in Horseshore Overlook, and all you really have to do is to see the quest to its end in Valentine. Then, you’ll be given the chance to buy a horse.

You can buy any horse you like, though there is an option that won’t set you back by any money at all, which you might favor if you’re frugal. Regardless of your choice in equines, you’ll be given a horse brush as part of your purchase. It’s really as simple as that.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Horse Brush Guide – Cleaning Your Horse

Now that you’re in possession of a brush, you better get to cleaning. It’s actually pretty easy, and if you’re playing on PC, you’re unlikely to bump the wrong trigger and kick your horse in the head by accident. Just get right up next to your horse (well, you can really do this on anyone’s horse, but we’d recommend keeping your paws to yourself) and an option to use the Horse Brush will appear as an interaction. If you choose to clean your horse in this manner, it’s gonna get all the road dust off real quick. They’ll feel like a changed, er, animal!

Now that you have our Red Dead Redemption 2 Horse Brush Guide to keep an eye on, it should be easy to look after the magnificent beast of burden that ferries you faithfully around. If you have any trouble being a responsible horse owner, well, that one’s all on you. Need a hand with anything else related to the cowboy lifestyle?
