Red Dead Redemption 2 Beaver Location

Hunting beavers isn’t just something that you’re going to do for sport in Red Dead Redemption 2. They’re actually pretty useful to check off your kill list. Beavers are a necessary evil when it comes to getting things like a Valuables Satchel, and also for hats that the Trapper can make for you. You’ll require Perfect Beaver Pelts as an ingredient.

Now that you know what you can use beavers for, we’re going to tell you where to find the little critters. Predictably, you can’t just be knocking off any old small animal. You’re going to have to take out the North American beaver, and the best place to find these is by the Owanjila Lake. Just start out at Strawberry and go due West. You can also find them close to the Kamassa River if you’re so inclined and want to keep farming those Perfect Beaver Pelts. These beavers are pretty small, and they’re also incredibly easy to startle so you’re going to want to be really careful when you’re sneaking up on them. Use the Varmint Rifle for the best results.

If you’re looking for a Legendary Beaver instead, then you’re going to have to go to Elysian Pool. They hang around there sometimes, and you’ll want to make sure that you keep an eye out for a beaver that looks like it’s a different color from the regular North American variety.

Now that you have our Red Dead Redemption 2 Beaver guide in hand, finding this critter should be a piece of cake. If you need a hand with anything else in the Wild West, check out these other guides that we’ve put together:
