Ahead of the full launch for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Ubisoft released a demo that any curious player can jump right into. My guide will outline what you can expect in the demo and how you can get started.
What to Expect in the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Demo
The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Demo is completely free and will allow you to play the first couple of hours, leading you to the Jahandar Manticore boss fight. This gives you plenty of time to explore the initial Lower City zone and some of the Hyrcanian Forest. But there is one key difference in the demo to help you out with time.
You will have more access to abilities that are locked behind the story objectives in the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown demo. As a Metroidvania, most of the abilities in the game are in much tougher zones that then lead to more areas. Only so much time is given in the demo, so to truly test out the gameplay, you have access to abilities much earlier than you would in the full release. However, that doesn’t mean you get them all.

No time limit is given to how long you can spend in the demo and it will still remain available after the official launch date on January 18, 2024. Now is the perfect time to try out this gem that we reviewed and gave a 9 out of 10.
How to Download Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Demo
- On consoles, head to the store and search for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
- Select the free demo and start the download.
- On PC, you need to download the Ubisoft Connect launcher.
- After you sign in or make an account, search for the game and select the demo.
Most of the major platforms have access to the demo but PC players will have to deal with the Ubisoft launcher itself for this release. Otherwise, the download itself is an easy process.
