How to Get Duraludon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk

Duraludon is located in the Polar Biome of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC. It’s found mostly across the southern border of the Polar Biome, next to the Canyon Biome. Duraludon are fairly prevalent in The Indigo Disk, and you should be able to find them pretty quickly among the snowy cliffs. Duraludon located here are leveled in the low 70’s.

You can also find Duraludon in 5- and 6-Star Tera Raid battles across the Blueberry Academy’s Terarium. These Duraludon are at Level 75 when caught.

Duraludon is normally a Steel- and Dragon-type Pokemon, making it weak to Fighting and Ground attacks. You’ll want to bring a Pokemon of the type that’s effective of whatever its Tera Type is when trying to catch one in a Tera Raid battle, however.

How to Evolve Duraludon Into Archaludon

Once you’ve located and caught a Duraludon, you’ll more than likely want to evolve it into Archaludon. To do this, you’ll need to use the Metal Alloy item on your Duraludon. There are no level restrictions or conditions for using Metal Alloy, so you can evolve Duraludon at any time, even immediately after you catch it.

You can buy the Metal Alloy for 300 BP at the School Store, accessed from the entrance to Blueberry Academy. After entering the Terrarium for the first time, you’ll be given the option to visit the School Store, the Cafeteria, and some classrooms upon subsequent visits, as well as the Terrarium. To earn the necessary BP, you must complete Blueberry Quests, or BBQs.

You can also pick up a Metal Alloy for free in the Polar Biome’s Chargestone Cavern. It’s located on the upper levels of the cavern beside a large blue crystal and not too far from a wild Tera Porygon.

Once you have a Metal Alloy in possession, all you need to do is open up your bag, head to the “Other Items” pouch, and choose to use the Metal Alloy item on any Duraludon you have with you in your party. Duraludon will then immediately evolve into Archaludon.

Now that you’ve located Duraludon, as you’re evolving Pokemon to complete your Blueberry Academy Pokedex, you may find yourself wondering if other previously introduced Pokemon also have new evolutions. If you’re curious about a possible evolution for, say, Dipplin, a Pokemon that was released in the Teal Mask DLC chapter, you can check out our article for more information.
