Throwing Poke Balls overhead is so overdone. Here’s how to change up your throwing style in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Indigo Disk.
Pokemon Indigo Disk: How to Change Poke Ball Throwing Style
BP, or Blueberry Points, can be earned by completing quests and battling trainers. But what should you do with them once you have a nice hoard of them? Well, if you like to battle in style, updating the way you throw Poke Balls is a good option.
In fact, you have no choice but to buy a few of these flashy moves.
As you complete the main campaign in the Indigo Disk, Carmine and Drayton will take you to a club where you’ll be given 150 BP. This BP will need to be used at the League Club Terminal and contributed to the club member, Mitch. In return, Mitch will give you two new ways to update your throwing style: Smug and Elegant.
However, to actually change your style, you’ll need to interact with the League Terminal again. Select Mitch and the green contribution option that costs 10 BP. Mitch will call you and then ask you which style you want.
Unfortunately, you don’t get to preview it before swapping to it! I’ll be honest, I’m pretty disappointed with the “Elegant” style, but it costs 10 BP every time you want to change your throwing style, and I’m too cheap to keep changing.
All Throwing Styles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Mitch will continue to sell a variety of throwing styles, which can be purchased from the Club computer. He’ll have four separate requests on the support board, each costing 150 BP and rewarding you with two new throwing styles. In total, there are eight new throwing styles you can obtain:
- Left-handed Style.
- Reverent Style.
- Dainty Style.
- Smug Style.
- Elegant Style.
- Twirling Style.
- Ninja Style.
- Galarian Star Style.
You’ll also have an option to change back to Original Style, which is the default throwing style in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. For maximum fun and goofiness, we recommend trying out the Reverent or Ninja Styles, but you should choose whichever throwing style best fits your personality.
It’s possible more throwing styles will become available as the game progresses. Until then, go out and battle and catch Pokemon in peak style!
