Trainers will be able to purchase Paid Timed Research at any time during the event period. Of course, the earlier that one purchases it, the more likely it will be that it can be completed in time. There are two different Paid Time Research tickets that are available for purchase, and you can see what each includes below.

Ticket One

Ticket One will be $2 USD or the equivalent pricing in your local currency.
This ticket includes two separate Timed Research to complete. The first for Winter Holiday Part 1, and the second for Winter Holiday Part 2.

Winter Holiday Part 1 Timed Research includes the following:

  • Event-themed costumed Pokemon encounters.
  • The debut of the new holiday costumed Pokemon – Psyduck wearing holiday attire.
  • Two Premium Battle Passes.

Winter Holiday Part 2 Timed Research includes the following:

  • Event-themed costumed Pokemon encounters.
  • Two Premium Battle Passes.
Tip:

If you do not purchase this ticket until Winter Holiday Part 2, you will still be able to retroactively complete Winter Holiday Part 1.

Ticket Two

Ticket Two will be $5 USD or the equivalent pricing in your local currency.
The best thing about Ticket Two is the new avatar pose, which really makes me want to prepare myself a nice cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows just looking at it.

Winter Holiday Part 2 Timed Research includes the following:

  • New event avatar pose.
  • 2X Candy when catching Pokemon.
  • Event-themed costumed Pokemon encounters, including the Psyduck wearing holiday attire.

Both of the above will need to be completed by Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time. to make sure that you obtain all of the rewards.

Timed Research: Winter Wishes

The Timed Research: Winter Wishes will extend from Winter Holiday Part 1 into Winter Holiday Part 2. Winter Wishes has a branching pathway and trainers will have to choose between the following.

  • 2X XP when catching Pokemon.
  • 2X Stardust when catching Pokemon.

The bonuses and rewards you get for completing the Timed Research will differ depending on which path you choose. But they will be similar in the sense that both paths will reward trainers with things such as event-costumed Pokemon, and items.
