Pokemon GO Taken Treasures Event: Date and Time, Varoom Debut, Shadow Legendary Raids, and More

It's time to take down Team Rocket again.

Team Rocket and Giovanni are back once again with the Taken Treasures event in Pokemon GO. With a plethora of Shadow Raids, other raids, Pokemon debuts, and more. This is not a Pokemon GO event that should be mixed.

Pokemon GO Taken Treasures All Event Details

It’s the perfect time to complete some more Raids in Pokemon GO, with the chance to catch plenty of Shadow Pokemon – including Legendary Pokemon! Let’s Varoom on in and learn all of the details about the Taken Treasures event.

Event Date and Time

The Pokemon GO Taken Treasures event will begin on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 12:00 AM to Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM local time.

Pokemon Debut

The following Pokemon will make their Pokemon GO debut during the Taken Treasures event.

Varoom will be able to be obtained by hatching 12KM Eggs and then evolved into Revavroom with 50 Varoom Candy.

Legendary Shadow Pokemon

The following Legendary Pokemon will be able to be encountered and caught during the Taken Treasures event in Pokemon GO.

Event Bonuses

The following Event Bonuses will be live for the duration of the event.

  • Trainers can use a Charged TM to get a Shadow Pokemon to forget the move Frustration.
  • Trainers will be able to encounter Team Rocket more frequently in balloons and at PokeStops.

Trainers can purchase the event Paid Timed Research for $5 USD or the equivalent in local currency. Trainers who purchase and complete the Paid Timed Research can expect the following rewards:

  • Stardust
  • XP
  • 1 Incense
  • 1 Incubator
  • 3 Silver Pinap Berries
  • Event specific Pokemon encounters
  • New event avatar pose

To receive all of the rewards, trainers will need to complete the Paid Timed Research before Thursday, February 01, 2024, at 11:59 PM local time.

PokeStop Showcases

For the duration of the event, you will be able to enter event-specific Pokemon into PokeStop Showcases held at various PokeStops in your local area.

Web Store and In-Game Event Bundles

To make the most out of the Taken Treasures event, you can purchase the following event bundles for both real money and in-game currency.

Pokemon GO Web Store Team GO Rocket Bundle

Trainers can purchase a Rocket Bundle from the Pokemon GO Web Store for $9.99 USD or the equivalent in local currency. This bundle contains the following:

Event Bundle

During the event, trainers can purchase a Team GO Rocket Box for 300 PokeCoins.

The Team Rocket events in Pokemon GO will give trainers another opportunity to take down Giovanni, and the Taken Treasures event allows trainers to catch a plethora of new Shadow Pokemon, which could be useful during Battle Week.
