Pokemon GO Raging Battles Event Details
What’s better than an angry monkey? An angry monkey that is also a Ghost type. Annihilape is set to make its debut during the Raging Battles event. And whilst that is undoubtedly the event highlight, there’s plenty more besides to raise your fighting spirit.
Event Date and Time
The Raging Battles event in Pokemon GO will begin on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM to Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 08:00 PM local time.
Debut Pokemon
Annihilape will debut during the Raging Fists event. The final evolution is the Mankey evolution, and a dual Fighting/Ghost type. It’s an exciting introduction to the game, and thankfully the mechanics to evolve it are rather straightforward. There’s no locking behind an event or paid research this time. Annihilape can be obtained by anyone and everyone.

Event Bonuses
The following Event Bonuses will be live for the duration of the event.
- Trainers will encounter Team Rocket at PokeStops and in Team Rocket balloons more often.
- Trainers will be able to encounter both Throh and Sawk in the wild.
Paid Time Research – Raging Battles
Trainers will be able to partake in the Paid Time Research also titled Raging Battles during the event. The Paid Time Research will cost $2 USD or the equivalent in your local currency. Completing the research will reward trainers with the following:
- 3 Rare Candy
- 1 Rocket Radar
- Stardust
- 2 Premium Battle Passes
The Paid Timed Research needs to be completed by Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 8:00 PM local time to make sure that all of the rewards possible are obtained.
Collection Challenges
During the event, there will be event-specific Collection Challenges for trainers to partake in to receive the following rewards:
- 3 Fast TMs
- 3 Charged TMs
- Stardust
GO Battle Week: Timeless Travels
Nothing like a Fighting event for GO Battle Week to run alongside. Trainers will be able to participate in GO Battle Week from Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM to Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 8:00 PM local time.
Leagues
All Battle Leagues will be open for participation during GO Battle Week. So, trainers can choose between Great League, Ultra League, and Master League.
GO Battle Week Bonuses
The following Bonuses are directly related to the Timeless Travels Battle Week.
- Trainers will receive 4X win rewards. (January Stardust bonus and end-of-set bonuses are not included).
- Trainers will be able to participate in ten sets as opposed to five for the duration of Battle Week.
- Trainers can receive an Ingo-Style Hat and other rewards from free Timed Research.
- Trainers can purchase paid timed research for $1 USD or the equivalent in their local currency to participate in Paid Timed Research for various rewards.
Annihilape is an exciting addition to Pokemon GO, and trainers are right to be eager to try it out during Battle Week. Another set of new Pokemon introductions in the game are the Origin Forme’s of Dialga and Palkia. Pokemon GO is definitely starting on a good note in 2024, and trainers have a lot to keep themselves occupied while the weather is cold.
