Moltres is a Fire and Flying type Pokemon with a CP of 41,953 as a raid boss. Your best bet to take down Moltres is to use Rock, Electric or Water type Pokemon. Golem should be your go to Pokemonm with Rock Throw and Stone Edge in order to take advantage of Moltres’ weakness to Rock. Tyranitar is also a very good choice with Stone Edge to take advantage of Rock type damage. Even Omastar with Rock Throw and Rock Slide can inflict good damage to Moltres.

A handful of trainers around level 40 with several Golem or Tyranitar at level 30 or above can easily take down a Moltres raid boss with no additional assistance. However, if you don’t have a Golem or Tyranitar at that level, you have other options. Vaporeon with Water Gun and Hydro Pump, or Gyarados with Hydro Pump also work very well against Moltres. You won’t see the damage you get from the Rock type Pokemon, but it’s still good damage. Feraligatr also works very well against Moltres using Water Gun and Hydro Pump.
