Halloween in Pokémon GO will end with a bang—or in this case, a boo—with Part II of the Halloween 2023 event. New costumed Pokémon, shiny debuts, and research will keep the festivities frightful. Below you’ll find all the details on Pokémon GO’s second half of the 2023 Halloween event.
Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part II Event Date and Time
The Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part II event will take place from Thursday, October 26 at 10:00 AM to Tuesday, October 31 at 8:00 PM local time.
Debut Costumed Pokémon
The two new costumed Pokémon that will make their debut during the Halloween 2023 event Part II are Pikachu wearing a Tricks & Treats costume and Gengar wearing a Tricks & Treats costume.

Debut Shiny Pokémon
Once Part II of the Halloween 2023 event begins, shiny Zorua will be available for the first time in Pokémon GO. Players can evolve it into Zoroark by using 50 Zorua Candies.

Timed Research Carrying over from Halloween 2023 Part I
The two Timed Researches from Part I of the Halloween 2023 event will continue into Part II of the event. Rewards for completing the Part I research tasks include, but aren’t limited to:
- Stardust
- Encounters with Ghost-type Pokémon
- Encounters with Greavard
- Encounters with Spiritomb (Spiritomb has a chance to be shiny)
Event Bonuses
During Part II of the Halloween 2023 event, the following bonuses will be active:
- Additional Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
- Additional Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
- Costumed Pokémon have a chance to give additional Candy when captured.
- On October 31, costumed Pokémon may give Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught.
